ON DELSU ABRAKA SUG ELECTION SAGA!!!!!!!

  Early this week the attention of the leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS JCC) Delta State Axis was drawn to the recents happenings on electioneering process in the campus where some candidates were screened out to contest for one position or the other by the School management while the reasons for their disqualification were not clearly stated in the notification released by the school authority.
   Sequel to this,as part of the Constitutional obligations of NANS that the rights of the Nigerian students should not be cheated upon by the school management the NANS JCC Delta State Axis led by Com. Precious Ogonegbu C. Made a visitation to the office of the Chief Security officer of the Mr Lucky O. today to know why some candidates were disenfranchise from contesting for the election after which they have spent a lot of resources in the course of campaigning for the election which may cause trauma or mental instability to some affected candidates as a result of rigorous thinking Whole addressing the meeting Com.gift Uzuazor the Vice chairman of NANS JCC Delta State Axis who led the delegation appreciates the CSO for the wonderful opportunities given to NANS to get to the roots of this matter and also seek for maximum cooperation in the course of the discussion.After which Com.kunle Oyediran the Capacity Assistant Secretary General(ASG) of the NANS/JCC Delta State Axis started by presenting the names of the affected candidates for clarifications immediately after that,Com.kunle said the leadership of NANS/JCC Delta State Axis are here to know the major reasons for their disqualifications .
  The school CSO Mr Lucky O. In his words he firstly appreciated the leadership of NANS in Delta State for deeming it fit by taking up the responsibilities in fighting on the interest of Nigerian Students,he stated clearly with evidences that those students that were disqualified were not Unjustly denied of their rights in contesting in the Union election but were disqualified due to low Academic standard as part of the eligibility for Contesting the election (CGPA of 3.0 above) as prescribed in the Students Union Constitution of the institution,he also said some affected aspirants were not sincere in filling their academics qualifications correctly which they might be later subjected to query by the university authority.
 Lastly,he said the management of the institution were fair in their decisions on the matter and that there is no personal interest from the management on candidates in the forthcoming DELSU SUG election.Also promised adequate Security for the conduct of the election comes monday 5th june 2017 as the leadership of NANS will as well be on ground to monitor the electioneering process..
